Signup Instructions for Swimmers & Jobs at Meets
Swimmer Signup
- Click the green MEET ENTRY tab, and then click the green Edit tab under your athletes' names.
- For each of your athletes, select an option from the drop down list next to their names.
- Attending
- Not Attending
- Specify your swimmer's availability for relays from the drop down options (if offered).
- Click Save to record your choices.
How to Register for Jobs at a Meet:
Under the Meets & Events tab, select "Signup Calendar" to sign up for a swim meet.
Job Signup
- Click the green JOB SIGNUP tab and sign up for volunteer shifts (note one parent may sign up both parents for jobs -- scroll down and you’ll see the other parent listed). If you know you and your spouse will not be at this meet, skip to Swimmer Signup.
- Click Save Assignments.
- Click Back to Signup Calendar.

Parent Volunteers
We need everyones help to make the swim season successful!
We request each family to volunteer.
Rookie league: 1 shift, we suggest home swim meet but all the meets are very close proximity.
Parents of 1 swimmer: 3 shifts
Parents of 2 swimmers: 4 shifts
Parents of 3 or more swimmers: 5 shifts
Job Descriptions
Starter: At home meets, the Starter stands within 10 feet of the start end of the pool so they can easily be seen & heard. Uses an air horn to signal the start of an event. Works with the referee to make sure a fair start to the event has been achieved.
Event Card Turner: Keep swimmers & families current on which event is currently being swum by making sure event number is visible to all.
Bullpen: Using line up sheet, organize swimmers into swimming order and make sure swimmer is ready for their event. This is especially important for young swimmers.
Scorer: Assign point values to each team after each event based on judges’ cards, conferring with the opposing team. Keep a running tally of meet score and submit final results to team coordinators and referee at the conclusion of the meet.
Timer: Operate a stop watch for each event and record time on card. Each team records their own lane. A Runner comes by every few events to collect cards.
Runner: Collects event cards from Timers, and place cards and Disqualification forms from the Line Judges after every event. These cards are promptly delivered to the Scoring Table.
Deep End Line Judge: Sits at the deep end finish line with opposing team judge and records the order of finish in each lane. Each team will provide a Caller and a Writer and will be positioned on opposite finish sides of the pool. One Judge will observe and speak the order of finish to the other line Judge who will record the results on the form provided. The form is collected by the Runner to go to the Scoring Table.
Shallow End Line Judge: Sits at the shallow end finish line with opposing team judge and records the order of finish in each lane for 25 yard events. Each team provides a Caller and a Writer and will be positioned on opposite finish sides. The Judge will determine the order of finish for each heat. One Line Judge will observe and speak the order of finish to the other Line Judge who will record the results on the form provided. The form is collected by the Runner to go to the Scoring Table.
Concessions Help: Grilling, Food prep, Cashier, Organize items for sale and serve customers food. Help with set up or take down of Concessions.
Bathroom/Trash Check: Check men & women bathrooms to make sure there are enough paper towels, toilet paper & soap in dispensers before & after your shift. Collect trash bags from concessions at the end of your shift to take to dumpster by tennis courts.
